In continuation of the event lined up to commemorate the Annual World Food Day Celebration happening for a week, the Commissioner for Agriculture, Ms. Abisola Olusanya, Special Adviser to the Governor on Agriculture, Dr. Oluwarotimi Fashola, Permanent Secretary, Mrs Olatokunbo Emokpae, and Board Director, British American Tobacco Nigerian Foundation, Mrs Odiri Erewa-Meggison,and other members of staff of both organizations during the Road Walk for Fitness to create awareness for the World Food Day Celebration.The walk began at Olowu Junction, Obafemi Awolowo Way, Ikeja and terminated at the Lagos State Government Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja.

The Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture, Ms. Abisola Olusanya at the Zonal Stakeholders’ Workshop on Identification, Prevention and Control (IPC) of Zoonotic Disease- Anthrax, Tuberculosis, Brucellosis etc held at Cooperative College, Oko-Oba, Agege on Wednesday.

The workshop is intended to increase the awareness of abattoir workers, animal market workers, and livestock farmers/ workers on identification, prevention and control of Anthrax and other Zoonotic diseases in line with acceptable international best practices.

The Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture launched the Free Human Vaccination for Veterinary Doctors, hunters, Pet Owners and other Veterinary Personnel at the Y2023 World Rabies Day Celebration, Themed: All for One: One Health for All.”

The event which is meant to prevent contact of the disease is in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security and Regional Disease Surveillance Systems Enhancement, (REDISSE) was held at NECA House, Ikeja.
