MR. GANIYU OKANLAWON SANNI – Special Adviser on Food Security

Mr. Sanni Ganiyu Okanlawon was born in to the family of Alhaji Salaudeen Alabi Sanni of the Shookun Onilegbale Royal Family of Isale Eko, Lagos Island and Alhaja Abeke Jawanaatu Saani of the Amoja Bakare family of Ogombo, Eti-Osa Lagos State on 28th March, 1965. He began his primary education at St Agnes Primary School, Maryland from 1971 to 1976 and later Victory High School, Ikeja in 1977 where he passed out in 1982 with the West African School Certificate (WASC Ordinary Level).

He gained admission into Lagos State Polytechnic, Isolo for Ordinary National Diploma (Accountancy) in 1987-1990 and Yaba college of Technology (1995-1998) for Higher National Diploma in Accountancy. He proceeded to University of Calabar 1999-2000 for his Post Graduate Diploma in Management.

In 2006 bagged his MBA degree from the Lagos State University, Ojo. Also in 2006 he was awarded a Certificate of Merit in Pension Administration and Management.

Sanni G.O is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) and the Institute of Entrepreneurship (IOC).

He started his working career as a PAYE Supervisor in 1991. He became Deputy Head of Station with the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation in 2001 and Secretary to the Local Government, Kosofe Local Government, Ogudu Ojota between 2004 to 2007. He was zonal Manager at Taxation Accountancy Management and Consultancy Limited, Abeokuta Ogun state between April 2009 and October 2011.

He was Director of Admin/Operation with Milton Nelson Consulting in Agege before he was appointed Special Adviser to His Excellency, the Governor of Lagos State on Food Security.

He is a recipient of many awards on Youths and Social Development.

Sanni Ganiyu Babatunde Okanlawon is happily married with children.
